چکیده

A study of Rb and Rc is presented in the context of a Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) with avor changing scalar currents (FCSC). Implications of the model for the -parameter and for b ! s are also considered. The experimental data on Rb places stringent constraints on the model parameters. The con guration of the model needed to account for Rb is found to be irreconcilable with constraints from b ! s and . In particular, if Rexp b > R SM b persists then this version of 2HDM will be ruled out or require signi cant modi cations. Noting that aspects of the experimental analysis for Rb and Rc may be of some concern, we also disregard Rexp b and R exp c and give predictions for these using constraints from b ! s and parameter only. We emphasize the theoretical and experimental advantages of the observable Rb+c (Z ! b b or c c)= (Z ! hadrons). We also stress the role of R` (Z ! hadrons)= (Z ! `` ) in testing the Standard Model (SM) despite its dependence on QCD corrections. Noting that in models with FCNC the amplitude for Z ! c c receives a contribution which grows with m2t , the importance and uniqueness of precision Z ! c c measurements for constraining avor changing t c currents is underscored.

The simplest extension of the standard model involves adding a scalar doublet–the so-called two-Higgs model. In general, the additional scalar will mediate tree-level flavor-changing neutral currents. Although one can arbitrarily impose a discrete symmetry to avoid these, it isn't necessary to do so; reasonable assumptions about the size of the flavor-changing couplings can make them sufficient...

Flavor Changing Neutral Currents at μ + μ − Colliders

We illustrate the possibility of observing signals from Flavor Changing Neutral Currents, originating from the scalar sector of a Two Higgs Doublet Model. In particular, we focus on the tree level process µ + µ − → ¯ tc + ¯ ct, via scalar exchange in the s-channel, as a distinctive process for µ + µ − colliders.

Phenomenology of two Higgs doublet models with flavor changing neutral currents

A comprehensive phenomenological analysis of a two Higgs doublet model, with flavor-changing scalar currents at the tree-level, called model III, is presented. Constraints from existing experimental information especially on ∆F = 2 processes are systematically incorporated. Constraints emerging from rare B-decays, Z → bb̄, and the ρ-parameter are also examined. Experimental implications for ee(μ...

Preserving the validity of the two-Higgs-doublet model up to the Planck scale

We examine the constraints on the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) due to the stability of the scalar potential and absence of Landau poles at energy scales below the Planck scale. We employ the most general 2HDM that incorporates an approximately Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson with a flavor aligned Yukawa sector to eliminate potential tree-level Higgs-mediated flavor changing neutral currents. ...
